Al-Ghazaly Jr./Sr. High School is a comprehensive six-year private high school enrolling 280 students in grades 7 through 12. The school opened in the fall of 1984 and graduated its first senior class in the spring of 1989. Al-Ghazaly is run by the Islamic Education Foundation which includes two elementary schools in addition to Al-Ghazaly HS and consists of a total student body of about 800 students. It holds membership in the College Board and the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
AL-Ghazaly High School’s community is one that reflects the lifestyle in which a strong work ethic is instilled for academic and cultural achievements by its members. The life style is enforced through the rich intellectual programs and the various extracurricular activities. It is further enhanced as we explore learning beyond the classroom setting and work to have our students understand the arena of life and all of its expectations. Al-Ghazaly prides itself on the quality of its student body, who strive to become valuable assets to their respective communities, meet the challenges of the world of academia and outstanding citizens in general. Finally, we seek academic and moral excellence.
Community
Al-Ghazaly High School, located in Northern New Jersey, has a community of students who come from a wide variety of cities and towns in north, south, and central New Jersey and they also come from as far as New York.The community of the school and its surrounding areas was once a small group of about 2000 people. In recent years it has grown beyond 10,000 members. The Al-Ghazaly community has its traditional and cultural identification as its diverse cultural student body. For almost 25 years Al-Ghazaly has symbolized the community’s values of education and culture and strong moral values.
